The Tea Ceremony Club is the only club at SFC where you can experience the tea ceremony. It has been operating as an officially recognized SFC organization for over 20 years under the guidance of a professional instructor.
Through daily practice and the culminating tea ceremony, members gain various insights and deepen their relationships with each other.
Events include training sessions for new members and three tea ceremonies per year. Other activities include kimono dressing classes.
Professional instructors teach the tea ceremony, including the preparation of thin tea. It is also possible to obtain certifications. Under the careful guidance of instructors and senior members, you will learn about the mindset of the tea ceremony, the types of utensils, Zen sayings, and the profound depths of Japanese culture. Even beginners can enjoy and deepen their understanding.
