We are Child Studies Group (Jidou-bunka-kenkyuukai), a volunteering group focused on spending time with children. Our activities are divided into five groups: “Asakai” visits Niigata once a month to interact with local children, “Ikusabata” visits children’s home, “Shinbashi” serves as playground supervisors at elementary schools, “Douwakai”creates kamishibai (paper theater) from scratch and performs at children's centers, and “Bunkazai” produces and presents puppet and shadow plays.
