wrestling

Japanese Name:

レスリング部

Wrestling offers plenty of opportunities for athletes, even those who start in university. At the East Japan Championship held last year, one athlete won the championship, and two others placed third. There are also athletes who are active internationally, such as Nonoka Ozaki, who won a bronze medal at the Olympics last year. This is a club that is currently gaining momentum. Additionally, about half of the club members are students from English programs like PEARL and GIGA, so you can communicate in both English and Japanese! Training is conducted in short, focused sessions, allowing members to manage their time effectively and balance part-time jobs and academics. Some members are also doing long-term internships or working as tutors. The training facility, the Hiyoshi Mamushi Gorge Wrestling Dojo, is dedicated exclusively to the wrestling team and is fully equipped with weight training equipment and showers. Additionally, the wrestling club is also recruiting managers. In addition to assisting with training, managers are responsible for preparing financial reports and coordinating media interviews with TV stations. Please feel free to visit us! We look forward to hearing from you!
